Bundestag passes Planning Security Act and amendments to energy law
Objective: COVID-19 pandemic should not delay energy transition
The Planning Security Act will apply to procedures under the WindSeeG, EnWG, NABEG, BauGB, ROG, BImSchG, WHG, BBergG and UVPG, among others (see § 1 BT-Drs. 19/18965). The essential content of the act is the creation of digital alternatives to mandatory discussion meetings, oral negotiations and application conferences that preserve the form of the law. Among other things, publication on the internet and online consultation are planned. The law is limited until March 2021. However, it is to be hoped that the procedural simplifications will also prevail beyond COVID-19!
