ARCADIS Ost 1 wind farm receives approval permit

Construction and operation of 28 offshore wind turbines approved

The offshore wind farm project ARCADIS Ost 1 obtained an approval permit in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act on 31 March 2021. This means that the construction and operation of 28 offshore wind turbines of the type MHI Vestas V174-9.5 MW was approved.

The turbines have a hub height of 107 m, a rotor diameter of 174 m, a rated output of 9.5 MW each and a total height of 194 m. In addition, a transformer platform as well as the wind farm internal cable laying was approved in the offshore wind farm "ARCADIS Ost 1" in the area of the coastal sea of the German Baltic Sea within the borders of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania approx. 19 km northeast of Cape Arkona / Island of Rügen.

ARCADIS Ost 1 is an "existing project" for which the Federal Network Agency awarded a 247 MW connection line OST-2-1 for the feed-in of energy from wind turbines on 27 April 2018.
